just another day :)

afternoon everyone, 

happy bank holiday :) hope you're having a really nice day! i really should be revising for my maths and science exams next week :/ but today i thought i'd kick back, and i will revise later and tomorrow :) 
there's a few quick things i wanted to say today, i've passed the 2000 views mark this month and i just wanted to say thank you so so much for everyone who reads my blog, enjoys it and supports me! to all my old and new followers, friends and family who read  because you keep me blogging and enjoying what i do so thank you all and keep reading :) 
also, tomorrow it has been a year since my granddad gabriel merryfield fell asleep, and today i visited his grave and laid some flowers which was really lovely :) so rest in peace grandaddy, and i promise i'll come back soon with some whisky :P

today i did a little bit of online shopping and i'm so excited to receive my purchases and i'll post everything i bought when they arrive! :D today i'm just going to show you an outfit i wore a few days ago to pop to the shops :) enjoy!

just something casual :) but i hadn't worn these tights in ages! 

purple tights - topshop

skirt- american apparel. i bought this skirt a few years ago and it's a really great  soft cotton/polyester material. it's really comfortable and i just like the way it looks :) 

shirt- uniqlo. i love this uniqlo shirt, initially bought for a halloween party but i've been wearing it ever since as an over jacket but here i'm wearing it as a top :) i tied it so that you could see my skirt.

shoes- toms. you know i love my toms. on my last post someone lovely asked me where i got mine and i got mine from schuh. but you can also get them from office or i'd also recommend the official toms store - http://www.tomsshoes.ca/. 

i also love that the back of this shirt is different to the front. gives it a bit of a vintage look and makes it a bit different :)

i love this scarf - river island. siobhan bought it for me for me one christams, i love it because it's black so can be worn with pretty much anything. but it's also got a little pattern on it that adds a splash of colour.

i hope you like this outfit as much as i do :) have a lovely rest of monday. there's so much great tv on tonight! eastenders, britain's got talent, made in chelsea, desperate housewives catch up! :D haha, have a lovely evening and thanks for reading :) ronan xxx

shrek the musical!

good morning all!

and how are you this fine morning?  i'm in a very jolly mood because yesterday i went to see shrek the musical! :D it is an amazing musical right up there with the lion king and hairspray! even better possibly ;) it was so so good, and obviously an excuse to dress up!

this morning i tweeted amanda holden to say how amazing she was in it and she tweeted back! woohoo! :P haha, so exciting! i would definitely recommend you to see it! they've mixed it up and made it hilarious, up to date and fun for the whole family with a cast including amanda holden as fiona, nigel lindsay as shrek, nigel harman as lord farquaad and richard blackwood as donkey. we had really great seats too with a clear view of the stage and they were only £45 which is quite good for the theatre so book fast! :)

so anyway, i thought why not dress up! and here's what i decided to wear :) there's quite a few pictures but i hope you enjoy them :)

dress- siobhan mckenzie

i absolutely love this dress, siobhan made it for me a little while ago and as my mum put it, it has a really classic and sophisticated look.

shoes- irregular choice. bracelet- mummy. 

these are the shoes as seen in a post in march. i was going to wear these then i realised that we'd be taking the bus and train to get there and get back and there'd be a heck of a lot of walking over that cobbled patch in covent garden and my poor little feet :P so i decided to go for the easy option of wearing flats.

shoes- red or dead holly. i love these shoes, they're ridiculously comfortable! courtesy of siobhan for my 16th :D 

jacket- topshop. mum got me this for christmas and i love it so much. it's super warm and comfy but also looks quite good. i was going to wear a blazer but i wanted to casual it up a bit :) although in the end, i decided against these shoes with this jacket-just a little too much sheepskin...

shoes- selfridges. as seen in another post . siobhan got me these shoes also and i decided to wear them because i love the colour, and they went with what i was wearing without taking attention off my dress :)

nails- maybeline light pink, rio white and maybeline red. as you know my nails are real and i do them myself :) i decided to do the tips red because last week i had them light pink and dark pink and i really liked it but i wanted a bit more colour and to try something new.

lipstick and mascara - barry m.

i pulled one of my pink lipstick, blue mascara acts yesterday.  i decided not to go for my usual white eyeliner because i wanted it to be a little more subtle but still colourful which is also why i went for pink lipstick instead of red. 

i also decided to put all my hair to the side for a change and to look a little different :)

mum's shoes and janelle

afternoon everyone :)

hope you're having a good week! i've not been up to too much, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather :) yesterday, my mum read my blog for the first time ever! and hopefully she'll be reading again today so hello mum! :) just a quick post today to share with you something that happened to me for the first time today and also my beautiful sister janelle's new outfit!

so first, today, i managed to successfully persuade my mum to give me one of her million pairs of shoes which are from new look, and absolutely gorgeous-

this is the first time i've stolen/been given a pair of my mum's shoes and she was actually quite pleased that i even wanted them :P but, there is a reason why i've decided to share this with you. my first attempt at stealing my mum's shoes went completely belly up.

little did i know that although pretty and so me, my little feet just wont fit into a size 7. so after walking to the post office my feet were absolutely dead, and i decided to take a new and very efficient mode of transport home- the brocycle ;)

next, janelle :)

janelle is my little big sister who's 20 and recently undergone a wardrobe change. she's decided that she wants to look more sophisticated and chic and her is one of her new outfits that suit her perfectly.

shirt - new look.

this chiffon shirt really compliments the outfit and goes perfectly with it. smart but also casual and the gold buttons look great. this type of shirt is really in this season but paired with the high waisted trousers janelle's made it individual.

grey trousers and grey skinny belt- new look. sandals- apple bottoms at http://www.drjays.com/

these grey chino style trousers are perfect for summer. they're comfortable, lightweight, smart but chic and very sophisticated which is what janelle was going for :) 

silver chrystal cross necklace was a present from my mum :)

janelle please don't kill me for putting this one in :P i love it because it shows that the outfit really can be everyday, and also janelle's personality :D 

and last i just love this photo :) janelle can't remember where the earrings are from but similar ones are available from accessorize, jane norman or topshop :)

a blast from the past

evening all!

how are you all? hope you're well:) today i had my 8/11th gcse which was english literature which went well :) i wrote 16 sides of a4 though haha, i know i always write ridiculous amounts so i'm hoping that it pays off! my school is pretty good though because we get study leave so now i only have to go in for exams which is fab :) 

today over dinner, conversation about my mugshot of a passport photo came up which then meant janelle went and fished out the whole family's new and old passport photos! this for me, was a really big discovery because my mum was born in barbados and there are few pictures of her from before she was about 19. but today i saw her passport photo from when she was only 13! similarly for my dad, today i saw his fresh 13 year old passport photo for the first time and it really was a blast from the past!

then i went around the house and found some old photos of my whole family, so today isn't really about fashion but i thought i'd just share them with you :) enjoy!

mum aged 22, and 13 on the right. mum looks so caribbean in the younger photo! this is totally where i get my eyebrows from, next time you see a photo of me and you can see my eyebrows, they're identical to my mum's in the photo on the right!

dad, aged 18 and 13 on the left. this is where i get my cheeks from :P dad was so so cute! he was milk monitor and best boy in primary and then again in secondary. seriously, dad was appointed milk monitor! how cute!

mum 37, and dad 24. i've seen this photo of my mum before and i think she looks beautiful in it :) she's one of the only women i've seen who can pull of bald :P and seeing this picture of my dad is so strange because he looks so young! i only ever remember by dad being 35+ so seeing this is like.. wow :)

me on the left, and marcel on the right. he was such a cutie :P this was his second birthday, i was 7 months :D i know i look a bit confused, i was sucking my thumb and mum took my thumb out my mouth for the picture :P

dad used to read us a story every day before bed, and we'd all be wearing one of his tees. marcel, dad, me and janelle.

this was when my mum had extentions, when we had the old montego car and when our heights actually went in age order. siobhan, janelle, me, mum and marcel.

one of our many barbeques. we used to absolutely love satay sticks! :P this was when i was little and i decided i wanted locks but mum and dad didn't think it was a good idea to tie me into one hairstyle for my whole life, but mum let me try it for a little bit which is why we had the same hair :P me, siobhan, marcel, janelle and mummy :)

mum, janelle and siobhan. siobhan looks exactly the same now :P mum looks so happy :) the reason there are other photos around is because i made a massive photo board thats about 1x2.5 meters for my mum on mothers day with hundreds of old photos :)

my birthday :D i always get the most presents without fail, always have and i always will ;)

everyone knows this photo of me. yes i had a pot belly :p i enjoy my food okay! i enjoyed food more than wearing a top it seems :P

and lastly a few photos we took in a passport booth, back when you could take more than one photo on a strip. you'd be able to see the others if my head wasn't so big :P
