in the summertime

hey everyone, how're you doing? :)

i had a really good day today because the sun came out :D it was hot in london! and as a full on summer girl i was ready with my knee highs and dress for the sun haha :P everything seems so much better "when the weather is high, you can chase right up and touch the sky". 

today was also exciting for me because my friends and i decided for sure that we're gonna go to reading festival in the summer which will be amazing, and i also heard back from the urbanist (an amazing airbrush artist) who's going to graffiti one of my bedroom walls for me which i've wanted doing for so long! i'm so excited, it's going to be a london skyline, with a blue sky in the background and some birds possibly, i'll definitely take some snaps when it's done! only thing however is that march is going to be a proper broke month for me hahah, ah well, it's worth it!

sorry about the grey blur at the bottom of the photos, i don't have my tripod at the minute so had to balance my camera on the storage boxes in my garden :P

so you can't see it very well here, i think the sun went behind the clouds while i took these pictures but it was honestly such a beautiful day! i'd also like to congratulate my eldest sister siobhan for passing her driving yesterday, first time! well done von! :D although to be honest all i can see is free lifts to college ;) also what's new with me is that i'm not religious, but i've decided to give up unhealthy snacks with my mumma for lent. i generally eat healthily but recently i've been getting lazy and snacking on the wrong types of food, like my mum. but it excludes cake, cos i love cake :P haha.

hey guys, you alright? :)

i'm goood, hope you had a week. i've been on half term from college and ruby came up from somerset for a couple days which was lovely! i also picked up love magazine, and at £6 i took a risk as it's more expensive than vogue :o although it makes up for it with it being triple the width of elle or vogue and i don't regret it in the slightest! it's got some really interesting articles and photography in it which are cool so have a read of that if you get the chance!

sorry i haven't posted all week, i've been up and down and by the time i take pictures it's dark out and so the picture quality is terrible! :( but i thougt i'd show you a few outfits i wore during the week. hope you enjoy.

i was feeling a bit inspired after seeing numerous amounts of jessie j's catsuits (which i love haha) and i never really wear something all over tight so i went for black because it's quite subtle and then my metallicish leggings which are quite thick. i also bought my docs last week and have been breaking them in this weekend which is sooo painful. but it's worth it :D but i do confess, as my friend sharon said, that i'm a fashionoholic :P

my mumma got me the brown riding pants for christmas and i adore them. i've rubbed off on janelle and she loves them as well now, she wants to buy a black pair and i'd like a navy pair! i bought my desert boots a couple weeks ago when they came into office, we've had the mens ones for ages so i was waiting for the women's ones which i lurvvvvv, they're really comfy but i found they come up small,  so if you ever order any online i'd say go a size up :) also, my boy london tee is one of my faves, my friend laura took me to this ridiculously pretentious shop, just off brick lane that do an amazing range of boy london stuff and i really want the leggings which are black, with "boy" and the eagle printed all over!

i've got the legs on my chair and a head fulla' hair

hey everyone! how're you doing? :)

i'm alright today, feeling realllly tired which is strange since i went to bed around 11 last night and had a nice lay in this morning until about 9 so i got a good 10 hours sleep! but i guess sometimes sleep makes you more tired doesn't it? it's half term next week so i'll get to make up for it then :P today was one of those days where it takes me ages to decide what to wear, because it snowed on sunday and it's been absolutely freezing since then so i wanted to be warm but i didn't want to be boring. which sort of influenced the title of today's post which is from paolo nutini's "pencil full of lead" because although it's cold,  i haven't really got anything else to complain about :P also, i wrapped my cardigan around today instead of knotting or tucking or anything else which i was quite proud of haha, hope you like it!

theeseeee beauties are my new dr martens chelsea boots! i spotted them a little while back and i've been wanting to get my hands on a pair but they sold out online and instore as they were in the sale, but i scoured the dr martens store and ebay and found a pair thanks to the glory of the internet and i love them so much. they're so comfortable yet have the classic dr marten feel and sole so i know they'll last ages and i'll wear them all year round. i can just see them going perfectly with my mickey tee, high waisted vintage levi shorts, bare legs and some cute socks for summer, excited already! eeek, i cannot wait for some heat! i was born in winter but i'm definitely a summer girl! not long now though :)

love love love this! the spikes on her denim jacket are amazing and paired with the white shirt and black leggings it looks even better :)
